• Corn!!

  We spent the day with Jacob, Valerie and Isaac doing their corn today.  It was a beautiful day, nice breeze and not very warm. Merle and Jacob had husked it all last night, so we had a head start this morning - even if we started later than we had planned.

  
  

  As we were ready to eat lunch, Isaac came to me with up stretched arms, "I want to hold you" -- oh yeah, this Grandma took the privilege to hold him tight.  He even gave me a great BIG hug and later a kiss! I will be looking forward to more happenings like that.

  
  

  After dinner, Isaac got the water hose and focused on "Grandpa" (at his mother's suggestion)!   Grandpa was prepared with a rain poncho. Then it was suggested (by Grandpa) to turn it on Mama, and be sure to hold it higher so it would reach!  Someone finally solved the problem - after he began to chase a runaway Daddy - by turning off the water faucet.  Then Isaac looked at the nozzle, "Where did the water go?"

  
  

  We had a pleasant time.
