• PEACHES!

  For the first time in at least 15 years-- we now have some canned peaches.  It is one item that has been missed greatly among our family.  We enjoy them so much with toasted cheese sandwiches.  It is also the last item of need, and the last thing of the season to can-- so for many years it has not been done.  There are seven perfectly beautiful jars of peaches setting on our kitchen table, waiting for another set to join them! It would be nice to have one quart for each week of the year, but not likely to be done this year.  It was fun doing them again.
