What would Jesus do?
Our church had meetings this weekend to ordain a second deacon. We missed all of them, not because we were not interested, but because of a friend in need.
We were told on Thursday that our friend had to be out of her house before Monday morning - or the sherriff would be putting her out on the street. She had nowhere to go at that point. Someone found a place for her late Saturday to rent, but could not get the key before 2 PM on Sunday. Everything had to be packed up by Saturday to go to storage, just in case there was no other place to go. We are planning to have everything moved in time to be able to attend church this evening for the ordination - hopefully!
We have wondered what we should do, have compassion, or be a part in the congregation's business. We hope we chose -- what Jesus would have done.

That sounds like Jesus with "skin" on. . . I'd say you made the best choice in a tough decision. Way to let Jesus be seen in you.
Our pastor just spoke yesterday on choices and in life we have somany choices we get faced with. But when we r doing something to win more ppl to Christ that is the best choice we can ever make.Yes church business is important but what is more important, ministering to ppl for Christ or business?Have a good day. wtyl
Hi Grace, I'm so glad you choose that path to help a friend. Even when you had to give up your own desires of going to an ordination. You know our first purpose on earth is to glorify our Father. I believe you helping your friend was what brought Him the most glory at that time. I got into a simular situation once and was very grateful for those that helped me in spite of other things they would have perferred to do. I believe that brings much glory to our Father. So follow your heart and continue to glorify our Father. And being a witness to Him. Ellen
Hey there, I think you did the right thing!
Thanks for stopping by!

Hello Grace, I believe you did what Jesus would have done. The snow scene was taken in our woods last spring. Isn't God a great artist! God did the painting. I only captured it on digital camera. The honor for the picture belongs to Him. Albert
