  • Our Thanksgiving Dinner

IMGP0721  We had our family Thanksgiving dinner today. Elizabeth took a couple pictures for us, and we are able to share this one of Jacob, Isaac, and Valerie.  (It won't be long and their son will be three!)

Merle had found a child's battery operated 4-wheeler, and brought it home to give to Isaac.  Merle and Jacob were pushing him around on it, until Merle found a rope, then Jacob pulled him!  It doesn't seem real that our grandson is old enough to do things like that.  The time will fly by, and we will soon be telling you of his graduation from school!

Jacob's family is headed to Iowa on Tuesday evening to visit some friends there over Thanksgiving.  Merle and I are going to Charleston, SC, for an anniversary trip.  It will be the first one we have taken in the 34 years of our marriage! Our anniversary will be on Thanksgiving Day this year. We will be spending Wednesday night in Columbia, SC, with Elizabeth, and then go our separate ways the next day.  Elizabeth will be watching Tom for me on Friday, something she is really looking forward to doing.  The digital camera will be going with us-- so we can share a couple pictures with you.  (It will also give a better opportunity to upload and have a photo album made for us.)

We hope everyone will have a wonderful Thanksgiving week, especially thankful for the salvation Christ provides, and that God has placed us in the United States of America where we can serve him unhindered.

  • I hope you and Merle have a wonderful trip. It's hard to believe that in 34 years of marriage you've never gone on an anniversary trip before???  I thought your anniversary was the 23rd and now I know I was right.  Did you also get married on Thanksgiving Day?  Have fun and remember this isn't your honeymoon but a 34th anniversary trip.  Oh! I guess I don't need to tell you that.....you already know.  : )

  • Your Jacob looks a bit like your brother Roy.  I hope you and Merle have a great time of relaxing and bonding.  God Bless!
