  • Elizabeth comes home TOMORROW!

I suppose the excitement of Elizabeth returning is getting to me.  There is no concentration on anything -- and there is a lot on my list to do yet.    (It reminds me of the days just before we either got foster children, or the days just before they left us. Could not think, just went through the motions.)

The last few months have been the only lengthy amount of time that Merle and I have been "home alone".  A very interesting time

Merle is going to Atlanta and pick her up.    She should be getting in around 4 pm, unless she cannot get through customs on time.  She only has a little over an hour to do all that in Miami.

We will have a quiet lunch at home for Easter, following an early (8:00AM) church service. A friend of the family, Lee Mizzell, will be with us for lunch.  She is bringing dessert for us.

  • Prayer Request

Julian and Elsie Yoder have a married daughter, Denise.  She had gone to the doctor (for some reason unknown to me) and had an epidural done.  I do not know the time frame between that and her being at work, but her back began hurting awful.  They have placed her in the hospital, but nothing seems to be touching the pain.  She has told her mother that she feels as though her body is shutting down, parts are beginning to become numb.

They have two children, and need your prayers as they face this mountain.

  • Elizabeth is safe

We thank the Lord for the safety of our daughter, Elizabeth, and all those on the International Faith Missions campus in Fond Parisian, Haiti.  All personnel were robbed of their money and some possessions late last evening.  She is scheduled to return to USA on April 15, the end of a six month stay.  I spoke to her this morning, and they are planning to go about the day as usual.  She said that she was able to sleep after she spoke with us around 12:30 AM.  I was grateful for that, as Merle and I slept rather fitfully. Please continue to lift them up in your prayers, as we are sure that being held up at gunpoint is not something to soon forget.

  • Hello World!

Several people have mentioned how neat it is to have a site of your own.  I have looked at a couple, and am impressed. Not sure what I will have to share will be impressive, but willing to give it a whirl! It may take a bit, but it looks like fun!
